I have always found writing about myself to be the most difficult. If I was famous, brilliant and good looking it might be easier. Well, I'm not famous. Brilliant and good looking can only be determined as a matter of personal taste. What I can say about myself is that I'm not afraid to try something new. I've tried inventing things and selling things. I've invested in the stock market, multi-level marketing and real estate. I have owned my own business - one that required that I deal on a daily basis with drug addicts, alcoholics and the mentally ill. I spent time prospecting for gold and other minerals in the wilderness of Quebec and on the west coast of Greenland. I even ran unsuccessfully as a candidate for office in a federal election.

While I could not describe all of the above ventures as an unmitigated success, each in their own way have provided me with a wealth of experience. They are the kind of experiences that helped to form my character and demonstrate my love of life and adventure. The constants throughout all of this has been my keen interest in health, healing, sprituality and, of course, writing.

I have had a number of articles on politics published in major newpapers and one of them even paid me. Does receiving money for one article make me a professional writer? I also have a book published that sold as many as....wait for it....32 copies. Does that make me a professional writer? To me it doesn't matter. I just like to write and if something that I put on paper is of help to someone, anyone, then I am a success as a writer. Sometimes, with difficulty, I can even write about myself.
